This is a county figure, not one for Kennesaw.

In plain English: In Cobb County, fewer homes went under contract in September than a year earlier, and more homes were for sale. Across Kennesaw city and ZIPs 30144 and 30152, median sale prices moved differently than the county median, and days on market were about 5 to 6 weeks.

What makes Kennesaw different

Kennesaw pairs a railroad-era downtown with a lot of green space. Depot Park and the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History anchor Main Street, and Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park, with more than 22 miles of maintained trails (per the National Park Service), sits next door. I-75 and I-575 meet here, so Town Center shopping and the Northwest Corridor Express Lanes are close. Homes run from condos and townhomes near KSU and downtown to amenity communities like Legacy Park and wooded lots on the West Cobb side of 30152.

How to read these numbers

A median is the middle sale, so it moves with the mix of homes that sold, not just with values. Monthly sales counts here range from 118 to 161, so a few unusually large or small sales can move the median and the year-over-year change noticeably from one month to the next. Treat single-month swings with care. Sale and listing figures come from different sources and cover slightly different areas, so they won't line up exactly. Your own home's value depends on its condition, updates, lot and street, which an area-wide number can't show.
